Reflection on Today's Verse
God’s work in the believer is deeper than outward religion. It is not about what the flesh can improve, polish, or perform. In Christ, God has done a spiritual work “made without hands.”
The old life in the flesh has been judged through the finished work of Christ. This gives the believer true confidence, not in self-effort, but in what Christ has already accomplished. You are not complete because you became strong enough. You are complete because you are in Him.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You that my standing before You is not based on outward religion, human effort, or the strength of my flesh.
Help me to rest in what You have done in Christ. Teach me to walk by faith, not by self-confidence. Remind me that the old man has been put off, and that my completeness is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.
May my heart be grounded in grace, established in truth, and thankful for the spiritual work You have done in me.
