Reflection on Today's Verse

Paul’s not flexing pride here—he’s declaring freedom. The gospel wasn’t just a set of beliefs to him. It was rescue. Power. A thunderbolt from heaven that hit his heart and rewired his soul. He wasn’t ashamed of it because he had tasted it, lived it, been shattered and rebuilt by it. And once you’ve been pulled out of the dark, you don’t apologize for the light.

Today, being “not ashamed” doesn’t always mean preaching on a street corner. It means refusing to shrink back when faith is mocked. It’s choosing honesty over applause, mercy over revenge, Christ over comfort. It’s walking into every space with your identity anchored—not in popularity, but in Jesus.

Because let’s be honest: the gospel doesn’t need dressing up. It’s already explosive. It’s not a philosophy. It’s a divine jailbreak. And we don’t need to defend it with clever arguments. We just need to live like it’s true.

Personal Prayer

Lord, give me the courage to stand unashamed. Not loud, not arrogant—just steady. Remind me that the gospel isn’t a burden I carry; it’s the power that carried me. Help me speak when I want to stay quiet, love when it’s easier to avoid, and trust You when the crowd walks the other way.
