Reflection on Today's Verse
Words are small things, yet they carry the power to heal or to harm. Scripture reminds us that our speech should be “with grace, seasoned with salt”—not bland, not harsh, but thoughtful, truthful, and full of life. In a world where people speak quickly but listen slowly, gracious words stand out like light in a crowded room.
They don’t mean silence in the face of wrong, but wisdom in how truth is spoken. Today, before answering, reacting, or posting, pause and ask: Does this reflect Christ or just my emotions? Am I adding peace or fueling fire?
Where can your words bring comfort instead of criticism, encouragement instead of echoing frustration?
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of words and for the reminder to use them with grace. Help me today to speak with kindness, wisdom, and truth.
When I feel irritated, give me patience. When I’m tempted to argue, give me humility. Season my speech with the love of Christ so that my words point others to You and not to my pride.
Let my voice bring healing, not harm—peace, not pressure—and may every conversation reflect Your heart In Jesus’ name, Amen.
