Colossians 3:2 – Today’s Verse for October 16, 2025 Thursday

Reflection on Today's Verse from Colossians 3:2 - October 16th 2025

Reflection on Today's Verse

When Paul urges us to “set our affection on things above,” he’s not asking us to ignore life on earth—but to anchor it to heaven’s priorities. So much of our restlessness comes from chasing what fades: achievements, possessions, approval. But when your focus shifts to what’s eternal—faith, love, and truth—everything else finds its rightful place.

Ask yourself today: what’s been stealing your peace? Redirect that energy toward the One who never changes.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, teach me to lift my eyes above the noise and distractions of this world. Help me to love what You love, to seek what pleases You, and to find joy in things that cannot be taken away.

When my heart drifts toward the temporary, pull me back to the eternal. Let my thoughts, words, and actions reflect heaven’s values here on earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
