Reflection on Today's Verse

Truth must be held firmly, not loosely… The believer needs sound doctrine from the faithful word of God.

Holding fast does not mean being harsh. It means being steady. It means we do not allow fear, pressure, or popular teaching to pull us away from what God has revealed. When our foundation is the word of God rightly divided, we can encourage others with grace and also answer error with wisdom.

Sound doctrine protects the heart.
Sound doctrine strengthens faith.
Sound doctrine helps us speak truth with love.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithful word. Help me to hold fast to sound doctrine and not be moved by confusion, pressure, or false teaching. Give me wisdom to understand Your truth, humility to keep learning, and grace to speak Your word in a way that encourages others.

Strengthen my heart through the truth of Christ and help me stand firm in the gospel of grace. May my words be guided by Your wisdom, and may my life reflect the truth I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
