Romans 4:5 – Today’s Verse for March 29, 2026 Sunday

Reflection on Today's Verse from Romans 4:5 - March 29th 2026

Reflection on Today's Verse

Righteousness is not earned by human effort but received by faith. That cuts against the natural way we think. The flesh wants to work, prove, deserve, and measure. Grace says, “Believe.” God justifies the ungodly, not the worthy. That means your peace with Him is not resting on how strong you feel today, how well you performed this week, or how consistent you think you have been. It rests on Christ and on the truth of what God says about all who believe.

This verse invites you to stop leaning on self and to rest in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of righteousness by faith and not by works. Thank You that You justify the ungodly through the Lord Jesus Christ and that my standing with You is based on Your grace, not my performance. Help me to stop striving in the flesh and to rest in what You have already done. When doubts, guilt, or fear rise in my heart, remind me that Your Word is true and that faith looks away from self and unto Christ.

Strengthen me to walk in peace, humility, and thankfulness today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
