Reflection on Today's Verse
This verse hits different when you really think about it. It’s not just a nice suggestion—it’s how we’re supposed to live. Jesus didn’t just love us in theory; He stepped into our mess. And He’s asking us to do the same for each other.
Life’s hard enough without trying to shoulder everything alone. We weren’t meant to. When someone’s struggling—whether it’s grief, stress, doubt, or just a really bad day—we’re supposed to show up. Not with a sermon or quick fix, but with presence and real help. And when we’re the ones barely keeping it together? We’ve got to let others in, too.
It’s not about being a hero; it’s about being family. Because love isn’t just a feeling—it’s carrying the weight together.
Personal Prayer
God, help me notice when someone’s drowning. Give me the guts to step in, not just with words, but with my time, my listening, my hands. And when I’m the one barely keeping my head above water? Remind me it’s okay to need help, too.
Break my pride. Soften my heart. Let me love like You do—not from a distance, but right in the middle of the mess.
