Ephesians 2:4-5 – Today’s Verse for February 3, 2026 Tuesday

Reflection on Today's Verse from Ephesians 2:4-5 - February 3rd 2026

Reflection on Today's Verse

You weren’t rescued because you improved… you were rescued because He is rich in mercy. When you were “dead in sins,” you didn’t have strength to bargain with God or climb your way back. Dead people don’t perform. They’re revived.

So the comfort here is simple: your standing with God rests on His mercy and His love, not your momentum. Even on days you feel spiritually weak, the verse doesn’t say “when you were strong” or “when you finally got consistent.” It says “even when we were dead.” Grace didn’t wait for your best version… it met you at your worst moment and made you alive in Christ.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank You that You are rich in mercy and great in love. Thank You that even when I was dead in sins, You quickened me together with Christ. I confess that I often measure myself by my performance, my mood, or my consistency but Your Word says my salvation is by grace.

Help me rest in what You have done, not in what I’m trying to prove. Let Your mercy quiet my fears, and let Your love steady my heart today. Teach me to walk with gratitude, humility, and confidence in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
