Colossians 1:18 – Today’s Verse for February 23, 2026 Monday

Reflection on Today's Verse from Colossians 1:18 - February 23rd 2026

Reflection on Today's Verse

It’s easy to let something else take “first place” in your mind—stress, deadlines, money, people’s opinions, even your own plans. But this verse pulls you back to what’s true: Christ is the Head of the body. You’re not meant to steer your life alone. When Jesus has the preeminence, it doesn’t shrink your life… it orders it. Your choices get clearer. Your burdens get lighter. Your identity gets steadier.

So today, you don’t have to win by force. You don’t have to prove yourself. You can simply ask: “Lord, what deserves first place in this moment?” And then let the Head lead the body—step by step.

Personal Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are the Head of the body, the church, and that You have the preeminence in all things. Forgive me for the moments I place fear, pride, worry, or my own plans above You.

Today, I yield first place back to You. Lead my thoughts, my words, and my decisions. Help me follow with a willing heart, and let my life reflect Your rule and Your peace.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
