Reflection on Today's Verse
Some days you feel like you have to “earn your way back” to God—by being extra good, extra disciplined, extra sorry. This verse cuts through that pressure. God doesn’t justify you because you worked hard enough… He justifies you when you stop trying to perform and simply believe Him.
So when guilt whispers, “You’re not worthy,” grace answers, “Exactly… that’s why it’s faith.” Your standing with God isn’t built on your best week. It’s built on Christ and faith is how you rest in what He already did.
Personal Prayer
Father, I thank Thee that Thou dost justify the ungodly, and that righteousness is counted by faith, not by my works. Forgive me for trusting my effort more than Thy promise.
Help me to rest in Christ, to believe Thee simply, and to walk today with a quiet confidence in Thy grace.
Strengthen my heart when it wobbles, and keep my eyes on what Thou hast done, not what I must prove. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
