“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.“
— Ephesians 5:15-16 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
Life doesn’t hand out rewinds. Time moves forward—quietly, steadily, without asking your permission. And Paul? He’s not suggesting a casual stroll through life. He’s saying: walk like you mean it. Don’t drift. Don’t waste. Don’t sleep through the purpose that’s pounding at your door.
These verses punch straight through the fog. They tell you the clock is ticking, the world is loud, and wisdom is your compass. Not brilliance. Not busyness. Wisdom. That soul-deep awareness that every minute either builds or breaks something.
So how do you walk wisely? You guard your habits. You choose your words. You protect your peace. You love boldly and live awake. You realize that today isn’t a rehearsal—it’s a gift you can’t return, only invest.
The days may be evil. But you’re not powerless. You’re called. So stop squandering light in a world full of shadows. Walk with purpose. Eyes open. Heart engaged.
Personal Prayer
Lord, help me not waste what You’ve given—this day, this breath, this fleeting time. Teach me to walk with intention. Keep me from autopilot. Wake me up from distraction. Help me choose wisdom when foolishness is louder.
The world feels messy, but You’re still God. So remind me that even in evil days, Your purpose shines. Help me see the moments that matter, and give me the courage to act when I’d rather coast.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
