Reflection on Today's Verse from Romans 13:8 - December 29th 2025

Reflection on Today's Verse

Love is the only “debt” God tells you to keep paying—because it never runs out of purpose. You don’t owe love because you’re trying to prove you’re spiritual. You owe love because grace has already settled your biggest account: your sin-debt at the cross.

So this verse isn’t pressure. It’s direction. When you’re tempted to keep score—who did what, who deserves what, who should apologize first—Paul quietly points you back to one thing: love one another. Love fulfills what the law aimed for, but could never produce. The law can demand. Grace can transform. And transformed hearts naturally move toward patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steady care.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank You for Your grace that has fully paid my sin-debt through Jesus Christ. Teach me to live from acceptance, not for acceptance. Help me to owe no man anything except to love… freely, sincerely, and without keeping score.

Where I’ve been cold, soften me. Where I’ve been proud, humble me. Where I’ve been wounded, heal me and teach me how to forgive. Let Your love lead my words, my choices, and my attitude today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
