Reflection on Today's Verse
It’s easy to “frustrate the grace of God” without meaning to.
You can believe Jesus died for you… and still wake up feeling like you have to earn God’s smile today. You try to be good enough, consistent enough, spiritual enough—like righteousness is a reward for effort.
But Paul drops a holy truth bomb: if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ died in vain.
That means your standing with God isn’t improved by your good days or damaged by your bad days. The cross didn’t help you become righteous—it’s the only reason you are righteous in God’s sight when you believe.
So today, the real “fight” isn’t to prove yourself.
It’s to rest your heart in what Jesus already finished.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You for Your grace… pure, free, and undeserved. Forgive me for the times I try to earn what Christ already purchased. I confess that righteousness does not come by my effort, my discipline, or my performance. It comes only through what Jesus did for me at the cross.
Help me not to frustrate Your grace today. When I’m tempted to measure myself, compare myself, or condemn myself, remind me that Christ did not die in vain. Let my heart rest in Your love, and let my life flow from faith—not fear.
Thank You that You see me in Christ, complete and accepted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
