Reflection on Today's Verse
That verse is a gentle (but strong) reset for your focus.
“If ye then be risen with Christ…” means your life isn’t being measured by your old position anymore. You’re not stuck trying to earn God’s approval, or prove yourself, or hustle your way into peace. You’ve been raised with Christ—your standing is already settled.
So what do you do with that? You “seek those things which are above.”
That doesn’t mean you ignore real life. It means you stop letting real life be your master. Bills, pressure, people’s opinions, regrets, even your own mood swings—those don’t get the steering wheel. Your heart learns to look up first: to Christ, where He sits in authority, calm, unshaken, and finished with the work.
When your eyes go upward, your day gets lighter. Not because problems vanish, but because you’re not carrying them alone—and you’re not trying to solve them from fear. You’re moving from who you already are in Him.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that through Christ I am risen with Him. Thank You that my righteousness and acceptance are not built on my performance, but on what Jesus has already done. Today, help me seek the things that are above… set my mind on Christ, not on anxiety, not on people-pleasing, not on the noise of this world.
When my heart feels pulled in a hundred directions, anchor me again in Your truth. Give me clarity, peace, and steady steps. Let my words, choices, and reactions come from a higher place… faith, not fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
