Reflection on Today's Verse from Romans 11:6 - December 23rd 2025

Reflection on Today's Verse

Grace and works don’t mix as a basis for acceptance with God. If it’s grace, it’s gift. If it’s works, it’s wages. That’s freeing, because it means your standing with God isn’t swinging up and down with your performance.

When you fail, grace doesn’t evaporate. When you succeed, grace doesn’t get “paid back.” You can serve, obey, and grow—not to earn God’s favor, but because you already have it in Christ. Rest first… then let your life flow from that rest.

Personal Prayer

Father, I thank Thee that salvation and acceptance are by Thy grace, not by my works. Keep my heart from turning grace into a reward system. Help me to rest in the finished work of Christ, and to walk in good works from gratitude, not for approval.

Strengthen me to live today in quiet confidence, knowing Thy grace is real, steady, and sufficient. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (1)
