Reflection on Today's Verse from Romans 6:14 - April 23rd 2026

Reflection on Today's Verse

Your life in Christ is no longer ruled by sin. Before grace, sin held dominion. It condemned, controlled, and exposed human weakness. But now, because of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done, the believer stands in a different place. You are not under the law, where every failure leaves you guilty. You are under grace, where God deals with you on the basis of Christ’s finished work.

This does not make sin light or harmless. Rather, it shows that grace is stronger. Grace does not simply forgive you after defeat. It teaches you who you are now in Christ. Sin is no longer your master. It may still try to pull, accuse, or tempt, but it does not own you. God has given you a new standing, a new identity, and a new hope. This verse calls you to rest in that truth and walk in the freedom that grace provides.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that through the Lord Jesus Christ, sin shall not have dominion over me. Thank You that I am not under the law, but under grace. Help me to remember that my standing before You is not based on my own strength, but on Christ and His finished work.

Teach me to live in the freedom, peace, and victory that Your grace gives. When I feel weak, remind me that grace is greater than sin. Let my heart rest in Your truth and let my life reflect the liberty I have in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
