“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.“
— 2 Thessalonians 3:1 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
Paul isn’t asking for safety or comfort. He’s asking for momentum—for the Word of God to move freely, like a river with no dams, no blockades, no dry patches. He’s saying, “Pray that the gospel doesn’t get stuck. Pray that it runs wild and strong—just like it did in your lives.”
That kind of prayer isn’t passive. It’s fuel. It’s Paul handing you a match and saying, “Strike this. Let’s see the fire of truth spread.”
It’s easy to get distracted by noise—our needs, our worries, our tiredness. But Paul reminds us: the real battle is spiritual. The goal isn’t survival—it’s that the message of Jesus breaks through every wall and gets the glory it deserves.
So when you pray, don’t just ask for better days. Ask for God’s Word to speed through cities, hearts, and headlines. Ask for revival. Ask that the name of Christ shines, not because everything’s perfect, but because He is.
Personal Prayer
Lord, let Your Word run—fast and free. Strip away what slows it down in me. Tear down the fear, the pride, the distractions.
I don’t want to hoard Your truth; I want to be part of its wildfire. Use me, my voice, my life, so that Jesus is known, not just mentioned. Amen.
